131215的交流会 :)

12月15日，星期日
可能对别人来说是个很悠闲的一天,
但对我们来说，是一个我们花了十几天的练习时间加上三天两夜的集训营，辛苦练习，等待的成果。。。
早上，崇华中学和培南中学是首来到本校的两所学校。
由于时间还算早，我们就各section带着自己组的人去参观学校。。

这里有一大班percussionist :)

再来就是clarinetist :)

拍到很有气质的saxophone组:))

再来就是拍照很guailan的trombone组haha^^

还有trumpet组 :)

p/s: 有些组没有拍到很得很对不起><

嗯绕了一圈学校后我们就回去光前堂集合拿乐器然后又出去warm up.

warm up回来后我们就大组warm up了一下下然后就吹我们合奏的歌，

也就是 When Honour Prevails by James Swearingen

当时时间大概是中午了，于是我们大家就去吃饭咯！

到了食堂的时候，大家都乖乖地选桌子然后就坐了下来等主席发言，

“hey hey肚子饿了! hey hey 肚子饿了! 吃饭咯! 吃饭咯!” 过后，

大家开动了:)

吃完午餐的时候，刚好从槟城来的恒毅中学到了。

所以过后大家就各组出去分组然后交流了，

分组还不忘摆pose给我拍的trombone组haha

很多很多人的clarinet组....还有两个b.cla 米有拍到啦～～

Tuba组～很特别地还有bass guitar。。第一次看到有b.guitar 的。。

然后呢我就发现在trumpet组里竟然有3位主席haha!真的很难得，而且年龄还要是17,16,15岁！超级难得！xD

大约过了1个小时的分组练习+交流，大家都回到了礼堂。

接下来就是各校演奏，首先呢就是我们隆中华管乐团演奏，

然后到培南中学和崇华中学两所学校一起合奏, percussion还表演了帅气的drumline！

最后就是恒毅中学演奏，恒毅中学最后还带来了自己组成的Jazz Band ! 很yeng Lo1!!

大家听完了其他学校的演奏都可说是目瞪口呆haha...就稍微期待一下我们明年的jazz band 吧。。

最后的时候因为时间关系所以取消了四所学校大合奏，

用了半个小时各组交换纪念品、拍照等。

其实我们在他们来学校和回的时候根本没有来得及列好队形跟他们说"欢迎和bye bye lo''...就匆匆忙忙的跑过去了。。不过相信他们应该感受到我们CHWB 与众不同的热情吧～～嘿嘿^^

虽然这次的回校练习大多数都是针对于WOODWIND~但是BRASS 多多少少也应该学到那些合音和minor chord 那些吧>< 这次集训营也发生了很多事情。。但是还是希望大家在这次集训营都很开心^^

其实你们真的很棒的！不要自责。我们没有怪你们。。这次不好，下次一定会更好！嘿嘿^^

久违的假期就要来临了，
经过今天以后，
我们的练习就暂时停一两个星期，
除了要好好休息以外，
也要争取时间在家练习！
要练的是 Memories of friendship & One piece这两首！

6月集训营 :)

Day 1 :)

其实第一天集训营，即6月5号开始，
除了吃饭睡觉休息check in音乐鉴赏之外，
我们都在练习，
有分组练习也有大组练习，
直到晚上，
开始练操步到10点多吧？

记得第一天大家还蛮兴奋的，
可能是因为假期好久不见然后集训营可以见面而兴奋吧？ :)
音乐鉴赏时大家也很期待

第一天印象最深刻的是晚上操步的时候，
我们正在黑暗中操步，
突然开始下起细细的雨，一点一点的开始变大，
我们逼不得已只好抹干及收乐器，然后继续操步到晚上10点多。
（其实我很怀疑那些住学校附近的是否听到我们的声音？）
就这样，集训营第一天就结束了！

Day 2 :D

第二天早上大家早早起床，到新场集合，一起做早操。
当时的大家好像半醒半睡的样子，医药组只好叫大家彼此按摩，然后一起做一下star jump，
搞笑的是，他们一直把star jump的速度加快，快到最后大家也跟不到了haha
然后大家一起笑了。
嗯，这是大家都完全醒了 :D

早操过后就是早餐，
早餐后就是练习了啦！
当然不止是练运动会的歌，还有交流会的歌啦等。

第二天晚上也一样操步，
可是这次比较好的是：没有下雨，有灯光。
所以其实还蛮顺利的:D
结束第二天！

Day 3 :D

okay其实第三天的重点呢，
是玩游戏！！

第三天的早操有点不一样，
就是根据康乐名单分组排位置，
然后就玩分豆类大赛！！
每一组必须用筷子把不同类型的豆分类，
每个人只限时一分钟，
可是结果很多组很快就把豆类分完了哈哈！

玩完了后，
就是练习一下，
到了下午，大家check out from宿舍后，
开始玩游戏了啦！！！！！！！！
（兴奋啊！）
这个游戏是跑站游戏，总共有9站！
神奇的是，居然有阻拦！ @@
这就是我们2013年6月集训营游戏的特点，
是康乐组想的哦！辛苦他们啦！

到最后呢，康乐组准备了有大桶有小桶的水来一个管乐传统，

就是把大家弄湿！哈哈

超好玩的！

虽然在集训营时也有不开心的回忆，但我们还是有美好的回忆存在。

6月集训营通知 :)

# 集训营日期是5号到7号

# 制服如下：
    --1st Day ：团服、长裤、包鞋
    --2nd Day ：白底Tshirt、长裤、包鞋
    --3rd Day ：（早上）便服、长裤、包鞋 /（下午）深色Tshirt、中华体育裤、拖鞋

# 注意事项：
--要自己带棉被，宿舍不提供
--要记得带必需用品，如拖鞋、牙刷、毛巾、药品、塑料袋、杯子、铅笔......

各位也不要忘记带自己的谱啊！！！

# 补充：
--6月5号当天是8点集合，必须穿校服进学校

--6月7号是4点解散。

Three conductors - An Uncommon Journey

KLPac SB will be having a concert in this coming 7th, 8th June 2013 with the theme "Three Conductors - An Uncommon Journey".
Mr. Joost Flach (Co-Principal oboist of MPO), Mr. Martin Rutherford (Music Director of Penang Philharmonic Chorus) and Ms. Cheryl Mah (Music Director of KLPac SB) will bring us a unique repertoire that combines variety pieces ranging from folk song, concert hymn to modern symphonic overture.

Top Secret Drum Corps - Edinburgh Military Tattoo 2012

::
Top Secret Drum Corps is a precision drum corps based in Basel, Switzerland. With 25 drummers and colorguard members, the corps became famous for its demanding six-minute routine performed at the Edinburgh Tattoo in 2003. With its invitation to Edinburgh, Top Secret became one of the first non-military, non-British Commonwealth acts to perform on the Esplanade at Edinburgh Castle.

Drumming style ::
Top Secret has its roots in the rich drumming traditions of the band's home city, Basel, Switzerland, which is known for its annual carnival called Fasnacht. The city is said to have over 3,000 active drummers at any one time. These drummers perform at traditional events such as Fasnacht, the Vogel Gryff, Charivari, and various parades associated with the city's guilds. A Trommelkönig (Drummer King) competition is also held every year by the city's Fasnacht Committee.
Basel drumming style is militaristic, derived from the military drumming drills of Swiss soldiers dating back to the Middle Ages. Top Secret in many ways adheres to the military nature of Basel drumming, but differs in many respects. Its drummers play at a much faster rate. Also, while traditional Basel drumming is somber and favors traditional marching tunes (accompanied by fifes during the Fasnacht), Top Secret's drumming style is upbeat and playful. Over the years, the corps adopted many elements from DCI, Scottish and American rudimental drumming. Segments of their routines feature a "rhumba", a drummer's duel, drumstick juggling, exploding flagpoles, and other humorous details. Their 2012 routine at the Edinburgh Tattoo included strobe lights within their drums that appeared to be activated by the drummer's beats. Perhaps because of their 18th Century uniforms and precision work, the Corps is often referred to as a military band or a part of the Swiss Army, but it is not affiliated with any military unit.

Borealis Brass Workshop

On the 21st of March,
its our school's birthday :)
and,
its a day where our coach invite the Borealis Brass to give us lesson :D

Borealis Brass was formed in 1994 to present performances of brass literature and commission new works. The permanent ensemble is trumpet, horn and trombone and additional instruments are added as needed. To date, Borealis Brass has commissioned new works from over forty composers from the Americas and Eurpoe.

they taught us and played some ensemble songs for us. what they taught was actually what our coach say all the time.

lastly after a two hours lesson, they have to leave to catch a plane home,
